===============================

James Lofton

On 13 May 1996, Eagle Scout (Class of 81) James Lofton was laid to rest. He was only 32 years old.

James grew up in a rough neighborhood in Washington, DC where being a scout was not easy. He worked his way up through the ranks, serving as Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster.

He was also a brotherhood member of the Order the Arrow in Lodge 470. He served as Chapter Chief for two years before leaving for Morehouse College in Atlanta.

James, you will always be remembered.
