Mr. William (Bill) L. Boblitz - BSA

In remembrance of:

William (Bill) L. Boblitz was the Scoutmaster of Troop 492, of the Frontier (Now Arrowhead) District, Baltimore Area Council for 16 years. He also served the scouts as the Assistant Scoutmaster Troop 492 (1959-1962), and later as the Chartered Organization Representative for Troop 353 and Sudbrook United Methodist Church in Pikesville Maryland, USA.

Bill or Mr. B. as the boys knew him was also a member of the Nentico Lodge #12, Order of the Arrow.  He also acted as an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Baltimore Area Council contingent to the 1964 National Jamboree at Valley Forge, Pa. and as a contingent leader to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1970, at the age of 53.

During his time in scouting Bill's guidance, patient and understanding nature helped change the lives of many of his scouts for the better. Mr. B was a quiet, talented, and sometimes mischievous leader, and the scouts in the units that he served, respected, trusted his word, and just liked being around him. Scouting was a very special part of his life and he cherished that time long after his involvement ended.  Many of his scouts are now enjoying their time as adult leaders.

Bill passed away on May 18, 1998 at the age of 80.

He is missed by many that knew him.
