On January 7, 2000, Troop 49 lost one of it's former Scoutmasters.  Lem passed away peacefully at age 81.  He was born March 31, 1918 in Dawson Springs, Ky. and was raised and educated in Weiser, Idaho. 

For 13 years he was Scoutmaster of Troop 49 at Whitney United Methodist Church in Boise, Idaho.  During his time in Scouting he provided excellent leadership for the Scouts in the Troop and for many adults who sought "Wood Badge" leadership training. 

By the time he left the Boy Scouts he had earned Four Wood Badge Beads and the Silver Beaver. 

He left the World a better place.
