Catholic Committee on Scouting

This committee operates under the auspices of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Archdiocese of Miami.
One of its primary goals is to encourage the formation of Scout units sponsored by Catholic parishes.
It also promotes and coordinates the Religious Emblems Program in the Archdiocese to increase the faith experience in Scouting.

The Religious Emblems are for all levels of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
They are age specific programs developed both on the national and Archdiocesan level to teach the values of the Catholic Faith.
Religious Emblems Counselors must attend a workshop to learn the details of the Emblem program and how to initiate it in their parish
